Back to Black: This girl Amy Winehouse has a good buzz right now and I am definately feeling her. I only recently found out about her through “you Know I’m no Good” on Gostface’s album More Fish. My sister then uped me on her solo album featuring that same song minus Ghost. She reminds me of a Phil Spector produced 60’s girl group like the Ronettes. Like Ronnie Bennett of the Ronettes, Amy is a white girl with the voice of a powerful soul sister. This song in particular has that Spector “Wall of Sound” thing going on with big Orchestration. Kinda takes me back to long road trips as a kid with Moms listening to her 60’s girl hits cassettes.
